Everything happens for a reason?

Ya know how you always here that things happen for a reason? I've always believed that but I don't know what happened... I was lisrening to music and I felt something inside of me. Just rising... And I saw in my mind a dream that I had when I was eight... Of myself taking flight up stairs... Each step getting higher as I went. Huge steps outside in fields of green. Steps that you can't climb up. I would rise to the next step. And then as I got to the second to last step... I stopped to look around and I fell where I stood and I felt as though I couldn't do it anymore. Everything on the trees around me started falling like autmn. And I knew that I had to continue but the thought of it was... heartshattering. While I was asleep it felt like hours went by as I was trying to go on... And finally I did. In the dream I was the exact age I am right now and this year many things happened that pulled me under.... And this was on the eve of my B-day-last night, and today it feels as though none of it ever happened.

Like I climbed the next step of my life.... It just blew me away. And the twisted part was that I had this dream when I was EIGHT!!!! And it didn't start to make sense 'till now... It's like I already knew it was there waiting to happen....
